Every ripple on the pond draws a ring of tiles, and every ring passes through exactly one fish. No fish ever hides inside a ring. Read where the rings meet, cast your line there, and catch every fish without a miss.

How to play
Read. Cast. Catch.
1Read
Each ripple draws a ring of tiles round it, in its own colour and mark, and every ring passes through exactly one fish.
2Cast
Fish hide only on the rings, never inside one. Find the tile where the rings say a fish must be, often where they meet, and tap it.
3Catch
The fish jumps into your album and its rings go calm. Catch every fish without a miss for three stars.
Every ring has its own colour and its own mark, on its ripple and on each tile it crosses, so you see where rings meet rather than add anything up.
Calm water
Water inside a ring, or off every ring, is drawn calm, since no fish can be there. Tap calm water and the game tells you why, at no cost.
A hint that says why
The hint lights a tile where a fish must be and gives the reason in one line, such as a ring with only one open tile left.
A miss costs a star
A cast on empty water costs a star and never the pond. Catch every fish without a miss for three stars, and Restart whenever you like.
An album to fill
Every catch shows its kind and size. Eight kinds of fish, from minnows and perch to rare ones and a legendary one, each with its biggest catch.
A new pond every day
After the first chapter, a daily pond opens, the same for everyone, with a clock, a streak to keep and a calendar of past days.

About the game
Behind Seiche
The name
A seiche is a slow wave that rocks a whole lake from shore to shore. The pond in Seiche is calmer than that, but every ripple on it is a clue, and the ring each one draws reaches out across the water to a fish.
Seiche began as a small prototype called Ripple. Its rule stayed the same from the first day: every ring touches a fish, and nothing hides inside a ring.
How it is made
Every pond is made by hiding its fish first, then putting down ripples whose rings each touch one of them, and taking away every ripple the pond can do without. A pond is kept only if it has exactly one answer and a person can read it from the board, step by step, without a guess.
Ponds grow harder only through more fish, more rings and wider water, never a new rule, and a measure of what each pond asks of you rises from one level to the next, so none is easier than the one before. No two ponds are alike. The pond, the rings, every fish and every sound are made in code.
How it stays free
Seiche is free to play, with no account, no timers and no energy to wait for.
It has a few ads, placed so they never touch a puzzle: a banner below the pond and at the foot of the title, the level list and each result, an ad between levels now and then, and short videos you can choose to watch, for a hint or to try a pack. Its shop is optional, since every level opens by playing. The Supporter pack turns the ads off for good and makes every hint free, and the other packs, level keys and the tip jar help pay for the next game.
Every Seiche pond is somewhere: a glass bowl at dawn, a koi garden in the rain, a frozen lake at dusk. How the places, the fish and the looks you collect came together.
Every Seiche pond has one answer you can read without a guess. How the ponds are built, what a what-if is, where the hint comes from and why ponds only get harder.
A seiche is one slow wave that rocks a whole lake. How that word became the name of a calm ring puzzle, why its rings are square, and why the board has no numbers.
Tap a tile to cast there. Each ripple on the pond draws a ring of tiles round it, every ring passes through exactly one fish, and no fish hides inside a ring. Fish hide only on the rings, so read where the rings meet, cast, and catch every fish without a miss. Tap a ripple to pick out its ring on its own.
Is Seiche free?
Yes. Seiche is a free Android game, coming soon to Google Play. It shows a few ads, never during a level, and its shop is optional: every level opens by playing.
Does Seiche need an internet connection?
No. Seiche plays completely offline, and your progress is saved on your device. The Android app goes online only for its ads, for purchases through Google Play and, if you use it, for Google Play Games. Without a connection no ads appear, and a hint that would ask for a video is given anyway.
How do I get three stars?
Catch every fish without a miss. One miss leaves two stars and more leave one, and the pond never ends early, so every fish can still be caught. A miss stays marked on its tile. There is no undo, since a miss shows something true, that the tile is empty, but Restart begins the pond again whenever you like.
Ready to cast?
Seiche is free, with nothing to sign up for. It is coming soon to Google Play.
